Every year, thousands of prisoners are released from prison. These ex-offenders must face life in the "outside" world, which includes finding employment, housing and educational opportunities. These can be daunting tasks to someone who has been incarcerated.
Impact Services Corporation is a Pennsylvania based program that helps ex-offenders with some of these re-entry concerns. Impact Services Corporation has developed several award-winning programs that have helped place over 1,600 ex-offenders in full-time employment, helped with substance abuse treatments and helped with continuing education.
Impact’s JOBS Project working with inmates in the Philadelphia County Prison System (PPS) was recognized by the Philadelphia Prison System as the most effective recidivism-reducing program in the prison system’s history.

Impact's "First Step I.D. Program is an essential service provided to help ex-offenders gain important identification documents. These documents are essential in finding employment and housing and can be a challenge for recently released prisoners to obtain.
Impact helps with professional resumes and job readiness as well as providing access to online computer labs and helping ex-offenders find gainful employment with employers who are willing to work with ex-offenders.
Impact's HOW program was recognized by the University of Pennsylvania as the most effective job placement program provided for drug offenders.
