MEMORANDUM FOR               Inmate Population

FROM:                                      W. Clark, ACE Coordinator

SUBJECT:                             Signups for ACE Classes

For the remainder of the year, we will be offering evening GED Math and Writing classes as well as our regular ACE classes. Students that are currently enrolled in GED will have priority for the Math and Writing classes only and will be allowed to register a week early. Registration for the GED Math and Writing will take place on April 11-12, 2013. The following week, we will have our regular ACE Class Sign-ups which will be held on April 17-18, 2013. All classes will run from April-June. Classes will meet for a total of 6-8 weeks, in the evening, starting April 29, 2013. With the exception of Call-outs or Visits, inmates are required to attend all classes. Expectations, procedures, and all other questions will be answered during sign-up and the first night of class.

To sign up, please report to the Education Department on the dates and times listed below. Sign-ups will be conducted on these dates and times only. In addition, there are a couple of forms that must be signed before you are enrolled in a class.

Due to the demand of the inmate population, you will only be enrolled in one class. If you are already enrolled in RPP or Parenting classes, please do not sign up. Certificate pick-up for previous ACE classes, will be April 19, 2013 during open house. In addition, if your class requires a textbook, you can sign up for your book on the same day and time as the certificate pick-up.
